Nathan graduated eighth grade Friday night. I am so proud and yet so unhappy because the kid is catching up with me. Twenty years ago I graduated eighth grade ( St.Anthony's). Now some how I am the mother to a high school student. It's going way too fast. We lived in Ct when he started school. The first day of Pre-K I tried to walk him to the door of the bus, he put his hand up and said " I got it mom". Now he is saying " do you think I can get a hybrid car ". I'm old and I need a drink!

OMG...high school?!? Here I am freaking out about my two year old! :o) We'll get through this together! lol!
What's wrong with these CA schools and graduation in July? We don't even have snow days here. Don't think of it as old... I too graduated from 8th grade 20 years ago, but just think of the laughing you (and the other kids at graduation asking the boys about why their grandparents came) will be doing when mine graduate from 8th grade! I will be the OLD one!
