California so far is wonderful. The kids are not happy with year round school, but Neil likes his job. It's nice to be able to go to any store you want again, well not so nice on our bank account. Although we have only been here about five months, it seems like a lot longer.....in a good way. We have had two family visits and hope for a few more. A few things have changed. We have gone from not a single car payment to two in the past four months. We ordered and received a 2008 Ford Escape when we arrived here. I sent in my payments as one does to keep good credit. We got panicky phone call from the lean holder saying they had lost our paper work and we needed to fill out another agreement. Turns out the only way they found the car was because I was sending in the payments! Totally figures. The reason for car number two is our van finally pooped out. We would have gotten it fixed but it would have cost more than a new car. We got a 2008 Chevy Cobalt. Neil is totally smitten. The car has roll down windows and old locks but satellite radio ( no clue where that evens out). In the fourteen yrs we have been married we have never had a new car, this year we get two. The other thing that has changed is I started working in April at a Borders book store. I am loving it. I work four days a week, totaling about 30+ hours. It has been an adjustment for the kids not having me home right after school. Phoebe is taking it the hardest, but they do like me coming home with presents. Life is good.
